Most offices and stores are open
from 09.00 am to 06.30 pm, Monday through Friday. Stores are also open on Saturday
from 09.00 am to 10.00 pm while most of the large shopping centers open Monday to
Saturday from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. Banks are open from Monday through Friday from
09.00 am to 05.00 pm. Some shops inside the malls open also on Sundays, after 01.00.pm
Currency
and credit cards: Turkish
currency is the New Turkish Lira, YTL. Please click on the

YTL is freely sold and bought in hotels, banks and special exchange offices called
"döviz bürosu". Car rental offices, hotels, above average restaurants, shops, travel
agencies, gas stations will accept your credit cards.
Automated teller (cash) machines (cashpoints, bancomats) are everywhere in Turkish cities, airports, and even in most small towns.
Electricity:The electrical current in Turkey
is 220 volts, 50 cycles alternating current (AC); wall outlets take Continental
type plugs, with 2 or 3 round prongs.
